In a mortal hopeless melancholy I fought. When I now finally woke up, I clearly realized that I was dying, and then I felt all my life as aimless, who did not prepare me for eternity.

"For nothing, life lived," I said, and with a hot prayer straightened to the Queen of Heaven, so she asked me for repentance. "I promise to live for your son," - resulted out of the depths of my heart. And at the same time, like a fertile dew, hung me. Heat as it did not happen. I felt ease, returning to life.

My way to Orthodoxy turned out to be difficult and forgively long. I was born in the times of active construction of "Paradise on Earth", when it stubbornly suggested that there is no God, and "Religion itself is a opium for the people." Most completely contacted Orthodoxy. And in my soul, the attitude towards the faith of ancestors was firmly rooted as something back and primitive.

But the question is, what is the meaning of earthly existence, began to worry me quite early. And from the ornament, I tried to comprehend the mystery of nature, studying her. Having spent not one year for it, I did not get a intelligible response. Intuitively, I felt that life was not suitable for the material manifestation of life and, perhaps, more diverse and complicated. I guessed that the inner nature of a person, his soul, somehow connected with an invisible life. At one time I was fond of psychology and philosophy. But a variety of theories did not inspire confidence, and I stopped interested in them.

At that time, the concept of "Creator", "Creator" was already twisted at that time in my mind. But I stubbornly avoided the concept of "God", which was associated for me with fanaticism. And as a result, with all the disadvantage, he plunged into the vigorous set of oriental beliefs, so tempting promises to open the truth. Without relying more on your strength, realizing only full of its insignificance before incomprehensible, I checked the Creator with all my sincerity and despair, filling me: "Lord, bring me to yourself! Specify the way leading to you, truth! ..". From that moment on, I just lived and breathed this inner prayer-plea.

And the Lord heard me. And opened the way to himself. I accepted the holy baptism. Soon the Orthodox religion, deeply tours of me, became the only meaning of life. I was shocked that all my life went next to the truth, without knowing this. It is possible that the lord of the ancestors will be worthwhile, the Lord and led me to her so thorny.

On this mercy and the generosity of the Most High to me did not end. Suddenly I gained an extraordinary state of inner peace and peace, unknown me earlier. At the same time, my unhealthy body had a miraculously unhealthy body suddenly freed from the captivity of numerous sores. The body was revived, feeling a long time forgotten youthful freshness. And it seemed to me that I got all these extraordinary gifts forever.

This continued not one month until I was ascended by the church life with her amazing sacraments. At first I did not realize at all, for which these new forces are given to me. And instead of multiplying them and go to them, I began to spend them unreasonable and beless. Gradually, increasingly indulging in mortal fumes, I began to neglect the services, forgetting about the sacraments, so eat and clean the soul. And what was the result? All gifts, given to me by grace over, I also unexpectedly lost. Then then all my former diseases and returned to me, but with even greater force. And the inner quiet replaced the exhausting soul. As if I did not touch the grace of God at all.

By that time I was already forty years old. And in the hands of the late child, which is only five and a half years old. It was necessary to take care of him, feed, wear it. And forgotten about the most important thing - about the salvation of the soul, I fully plunged into the household chest. My existence without God again began to be like a meaningless, the turmoil run, from which I constantly felt only incredible fatigue.

My happiness, the Lord again watched me and heard my weak, but desperate appeal. And this time he revealed his limitless mercy. Another day before that, I do not know anything at all, I still indulged in a worldly bustle. I worked as an artist and tried to fulfill a large order for a long time. Sharply deteriorating health made me at the end of work immediately go to the doctor. I have not appealed for a long time medical help. And dry words of the surgeon: "Tomorrow urgently for the operation ..." - appeared for me shock. Inside me, everything is immediately frowning. When I negotiated the prayer, I seemed to flew somewhere. At the same time, the consciousness did not leave me for a split second. I seemed to emerge in another dimension. I confess immediately that the fact that the beginning of occurring with me from this moment was out of earthly sensations and concepts. And with all the poverty of the human language is not subject to full description. But I still dare to do it, led by the will over.

Nothing in me and out and remotely reminded me. All human sensations disappeared immediately. All the earthly gone, disappeared without a trace. But I knew exactly what it was me and that all this happens to me. Feeling ourselves were so not terrible and solid that the human mind is not possible to appreciate it. And my consciousness unexpectedly and invisibly suddenly separated from me itself. And I saw myself from the side. And was able to consider himself very detailed. It sounds on earth, at least, strange and implausible. But there is its own reality and its laws of being, absolutely not subordinate to our understanding ...

If we talk about time, then all this episode occurred very quickly. But the time! Little concepts there are also peculiar: the time there there is a time there. And the moment when I considered myself from the part, was an independent and capacious piece of time in the general course of instant events, or not stopping the moment.

The next moment I saw in front of myself a huge bright space causing the late, bright joy. This immense light space extended to the horizon, which was clearly visible. And for me, I felt, there was a face separating me from the abyss (so I felt the place where I had just "came"). I, as it were, was on the plane, under which there was a dark and deaf abyss. This invisible and unknown plane separated that oppressive, gloomy abyss of the endless light space in which I now turned out to be.

Even on Earth, before the operation, I desperately prayed that the Lord will give me even at least a little time, at least the smallestness of him to distribute the debts of the neighbor. I painfully prayed him that he would give me this opportunity. And when it turned out to be there, I had the only goal. Everything was subordinate to me and concentrated on this purpose. It was an insurmountable desire and certainly get to him. Who was over all and in everything to whom everything is subject to everything. The word "God" in my mind was absent at that time. But I clearly knew that this is the last instance, the vertex of everything, the judgment. I needed to get to him with a request. With a request that I brought with him from there, from where I just came, and there was nothing more important in me and nothing for me. It was the only important thing for me. I did not even realize, did not think about what this request consists. But it was precisely this request and was the only driving factor forcing me with an insurmountable thirst for him to strive for him, - this is what came and overwhelmed me.

For some reason, I felt quite lonely. But it was only a moment. Because the next moment (regardless of me and my motive) suddenly began the movement in which I was not alone. And I immediately felt this whose presence, although I did not see anyone. But someone or something very warm, great, reliable suddenly arose from somewhere next to me, guarding and accompanying me in the beginning of suddenly movement. It was a feeling that such an unexpected appearance of someone was given with a higher enforcement, from sympathy to me who fell into unusual conditions, in support and direction of me. And I immediately felt confidence and confidence in the unknown war and tried to transfer my intentions to my companion. But it turned out to be completely unnecessary, as he and without my notice knew everything about my intention here. And, unquestioningly obeying my main desire, he fascinated me.

I will make a little digression to add your story. After a couple of days after the operation, a neighbor visited me. I told her without any details about the fact that during the operation "traveled." Here she remembered that more than seven years ago, as well as under general anesthesia during surgery, also traveled. Having caught my impatient desire, my walking unquestionedly obeyed me. We soon found themselves in a limited space, in the center of which there was a certain funnel. This funnel led to some unknown space under our, as if inside it. I was in indecision stopped completely close with this funnel. I stopped and my warmed. We, as if something led, feeling that you need to stop.

Now I had the opportunity to see your companion with all the details. He was neither a man nor a woman. Long wavy hair dropped from the head on the outstretched wings and merged with them together. It was a robe that hidden limbs. My whole satellite is his head, a face, long loose hair, wings and clothing - flicker, shimmering with color waves, which was very similar to the transfusion of light along the pearl surface of the sea shell. His body was not like a coarse human flesh, but as it were, it consisted of an opaque dense ether. The fragrance that came from my companion was not just a smell. It was an unusually wonderful spiritual aroma, like which on earthly conditions I never felt. His face, radiating unearthly peace, was soft and imperturbable. On the face there were eyes, and nose, and mouth. But all this was a single, without sudden boundaries and outlines, even more expressing this softness and excellence of the face.

Later, on Earth, I tried to understand why my satellite was so amazingly familiar to me, as if reminded of someone. I remembered time after time. Yes, yes, undoubtedly, "Trinity" Andrei Rubleva! Amazing faces icons reflect the same non-vulnerable and calm, the same softness and the excellence of unearthly peace. And even the external similarity, the proportions of the face and body are very close to the appearance of my companion, which very much resembled the same, images from ancient Russian icons. While I looked at my companion, he gave the approval to understand me that we had my desired goal. I also sensiblely felt that my companion knew what I was not dedicated to. But for some reason I did not arise the slightest desire to learn more that I was having faced over.

The next moment I saw how the same as I, with my walking, suddenly, from somewhere, lightningly rushed into a funnel and disappear there, as if retracting, sucking into her. They, like colorless transparent shadows, flashed one by one. The satellites kept their wards between the wings, carefully covering their invaluable wear. The space where I was lingering with my walking on an unclear reason for me, it was for them only a brief moment on the way to their goal. My satellite, seeing the flame trees, smoothly turned his head, and I saw his as beautiful profile. For some time, he was calmly observed for what was happening as if waiting for something. Suddenly, an insurmountable thrust arose in me - the desire to follow with everyone in this funnel. But my companion instantly caught what was happening in me and immediately gave me to understand that I would join him. Without thinking, I immediately found himself under his open right wing. And already from there, as from reliable asylum, observed what is happening. My impatience was increasing more and more, and I was perplexed: what are we waiting for? I was not so failed to submit to the general movement and follow a mounted funnel. But my satellite seemed to wait a moment to inform me what I herself had to guess and not insist on my. In the end he told me: "Not time."

He told me it very convincingly and firmly. And I immediately, without thinking, agreed with him, as if I instantly understood everything that I was not time there. From now on, I suddenly felt how I began to move down, already in another space. I seemed to have fallen out of that measurement and went down, I flew alone, without my spent. But his sudden disappearance was not alarmed and did not scare me.

I fell through a white fog, rather, it was a white light, and I was serene, well and deceased. All my desires, who previously occupied all my creature and were the most significant and important for me, unexpectedly disappeared, dissolved, without leaving the trace. The bliss that I felt in return cannot be expressed, because I didn't feel anything at least someone in my life (and I didn't even suspect about the like). Everything around filled the condition of endless and limitless love to me and to the surrounding me.

It was a comprehensive love, love emanating from him, the love that permeed and covered my whole creature, opposing me for children's devotion and as disinterested love for his creator. Blessed thrill, limitless happiness filled me. The whole thing I like existed only for the sake of this tremendous love for him, at the same time absorbing the love emitted by the Almighty. And there were no borders, no limit of the depth of this comprehensive and all-standing love. It seemed that everything that exists at all is only love and nothing more.

For some time I descended so enjoying unearthly serene happiness and sweet bliss. But when I descended below and was already outside the white light, the feeling of bliss disappeared immediately and without a trace. And I instantly mastered the inhuman cry crying. I seemed to come to feel: because I could not convey to him the most important thing that I had done the whole way. And the awareness of this plunged me into the indescribable horror.

Establishing "gaze" up, I began to call God. In my mind, the concept of "God" has already appeared. I cried to him with despair and cry, repeating incentively: "Lord, forgive me! Lord, save my child!" - But not even words, but as it were, all your being. The feeling of unbearable grief was immensely deep. I seemed to have lost something that was the only meaning of my being, and now only from inhuman pain, a loyal scream and a unlucky lance in God. Yes, because I lost that limitless love, and it was painful, mournfully and unbearably for me. I died every second again and again, burning incessantly from painful pain that admired me.

Later, on Earth, I also mentally returned to the memories of the infinite Divine Love and to the memories of non-supported grief, comparing them. Probably, it was not by chance that I was shown such a huge difference of these states. Now they, these states, like two points between God and Darkness, constantly remind me of the meaning of my earthly existence and what I should strive for all the forces in this life. The memory of that pain and grief, which I experienced the conclusion from God, brought me to the idea that even having experienced it, I can only vaguely guess the hopelessness and suffering, in which the sinners in hell, looking around to God. And their terrible pain is great not only because they burn in hellish fire, but because they are torn off from God, from his limitless love. And this cutoff from God is not there is a burning in hell, and sophisticated demonic flour and louder torture is not a consequence of whether the complete convergence and absolute insecurity of Divine love? Now I realized that human nature, fully concerned about absorbing worldly concerns, is not able to understand all the horror and hopelessness of the sinner, wearing in hell. We live on earth as if death with her inevitable changes in Genesis will not affect us personally.

My hopelessly crushed crying was not stopped and more and more soul. So she continued for some time ... But suddenly at some point I felt clearly that I see him. And his presence immediately filled with white light. It was something mighty and comprehensive, not having specific forms that fill out all the existing and radiating dazzling white light, the light of the neurotic eternal sun. Dazzling greatness of the creator caused me even greater trembling and sobbing. I was shocked and absorbed in everything that was revealed to me. Then I noticed that there is still someone next to him, but much less, and his outlines with a common silhouette resembled human: head and as if the upper part of folded wings and shoulders, everything else was immersed in white fog-light. Face I also did not see, as he also dissolved in white light. I felt love and warmth emanating from him towards me, and also that he is familiar with this warmth and participation to me. This someone, so I feel familiar to me, spoke with him (God), and I clearly understood that this conversation directly concerns me. He as if petitioned for me before God. And in my not interrupted by an instant the desperate cry suddenly unwittingly broke out of incredible strength of the crushing in his sinfulness, which was more and more express.

And the Lord seemed to listen to my crying. And the fact that I was finally heard to them, began to act soothingly on me, as if my love was returning to me again. But, oddly enough, my crushed crying was still not stopped, he became deeper and stronger.

At some point, white light and everything he contained began to disappear, as if dissolving. And I felt that I descend into a more dense layers. From contact with this density sensation gradually began to change to less pleasant. Plach-prayer in me was still not stopped, and moreover, intensified, but he expressed already, along with repentance, and deep gratitude to the Almighty.

I descended everything below and below, while I suddenly did not hear the voices, sounding already in the earthly, and scraps of the phrase: "... she wakes up ...". Although there were no bodily sensations, but somehow I felt that I was shifted somewhere. I saw a white fog in front of myself and thought that, perhaps, I was returning back, where he was just descended. Later, I realized that it was a hospital wall covered with white tiles. But before that, I could not understand for a long time where I am. From some moment I realized that I appeal to the Lord aloud, human language. Sometimes I interrupted my hint prayer to the Lord to ask questions addressed to the previously heard voices: "Where am I? .. I'm on earth? .. I am a person? ..".

In response, I heard the mild voice of the sister, soothing me by the affirmative answers. Gradually, I slowly began to realize that this is really me that I am on the ground and that it was already over all that I should have happened to happen, but what exactly - I have not realized.

Before the operation, I was very afraid that I could not wake up and that my relatives would be shocked by this loss that they would be very hard without me. And my petition for him (to God) consisted of a request to leave me yet on earth to "distribute the debts of the neighbor." And most importantly, my sinfulness was very effective for me. And I was well aware that I could not "leave" with such a bad position of my affairs ...

My desperate cry of crying continued, and I felt that I was burning like a hot iron. Later, I realized that I was so badly buried. These were tears. They flowed from my eyes stream, so that the neck was wet. Gradually, all me began to fill the new bodily pain. And I felt how slowly returning to my body.

My return to the body was long and unpleasant. Especially at the first moment of the awareness of what is happening. I felt an unpleasant earthly gravity, which, like molten lead, was poured into me, severe chagrin and deep disappointment from returning to Earth.

But, despite so negative and unpleasant feelings, in my crying cry, together with gratitude, also entered the realization that my request is still heard to them ...

According to the nurse, I wrote for more than one and a half hours to God, desperate and tearful. I hardly convinced me to make noise, because in the ward there were still sick, after which I stopped praying out loud, but continued to do it in my thoughts for a long time, until I had a sleepy oblivion.

I began to operate at six o'clock in the evening. At two o'clock in the morning I woke up, remembering everything very brightly. I am still stronger and stronger to master the relentless desire to get up and write down everything that happened to me. Most more confidence that I should do it not for myself, but for someone. As if someone forced me to do it. I had the impression at that moment that what happened to me there is so natural and there is nothing special about it. It seemed to me that anyone was close to all those experiences that I had there, that it was available to everyone ... But the growing coming from somewhere more than the requirement was still forced me to capture, fix on paper what remained in my memory . And, everything is also perplexed about the unclear demands from the outside, I eventually stood up with bed, obeying calling over, and with difficulty driving a relaxed body after anesthesia, I wrote down everything.

Before that, I did not have to deal with writing work. And I was very struck by the feeling that I was my hand, as if something owns something. In consciousness from somewhere easily poured what I should write down. And I did not make up large Labor to do this. At some point I suddenly thought: "Perhaps this is necessary for someone; perhaps, this story about extraterrestrial journey will help to find someone faith in the fact that our life is not just a brief and meaningless moment on earth and The meaning of this brief Mig is so important for the future, imperious life. And most importantly, on my example someone can find faith in the true God. " Previously, before what happened to me, I was often tormented by Maltoria and doubts. I came to Orthodoxy some nine months ago. And now I know for sure: God is!

People's time I decided to add my records by what, I hope, can present some value for a believer.

This operation was March 14, 1996, during the Great Post. And what happened to me during her, I was sure there was no sleep. Undoubtedly, it was a reality. The impressions of sleep, as a rule, fill up and erase from the memory. Even the brightest day life events will gradually fade and forgotten. And this! .. I remember everything, to the smallest details, so bright! ..

And what happened to me the first time after the operation can also be attributed to amazing. Truly generosity of the Lord has no boundaries. He punishes the sinner with great love. Having honored me with a serious test, he generously awarded me, repaid a veil of the mysterious and inaccessible to many mortals. And what I have acquired for a short moment of tests, deeply entered my soul.

After returning to Earth, about three months was the feeling that I did not completely returned to the body. It was a feeling that I like a newborn baby. And the whole world was perceived by me completely in-one. It was an extraordinary sense of unity with all living on Earth, as if I was a single body with all people, a sense of equality before Most High with any person, let the wispiem and sinful. I very keenly felt the fact that we for God are one whole, and therefore I had a deep awareness of responsibility for all. I felt that we were not entitled to offend our neighbors and we need to live only with love to each other. There was a surprisingly deep sense of love for the whole earthly - nature, plants - and an amazing feeling of pleasure every moment of earthly existence. It was like a feeling of sincere thanks to all the Almighty. For everything that happened to me, it happens and may still happen. It was a sincere desire no longer sin and not offend the neighbors.

After the operation, the fear of the child's fate absolutely disappeared. I understood how the Lord loves all of us and cares about all of us, only we do not always understand this and often oppose his good friend. And I realized a lot deeper that every our request to God would undoubtedly be heard.

One of the most valuable acquisitions received by me there was a complete absence of fear before death. Previously, before faith in God, I often woke up at night, experiencing a chilling, grave horror before death. Life with such a terrifying end seemed to me then meaningless and worthless. I saw that we, people, as primitive insects, spoken in earthly concerns, creating fragile and short-lived structures - structures of ants. And more and more understood that a person stubbornly seeks the meaning of life in this process, inventing numerous and most complex theories of being in his smallest. And it was impossible to hide from ourselves that all this instantly scattered with such an inevitable and inevitable fact like death. A common existence theory that we live to continue the kind, also did not calm me. And, obviously, not wanting to accept frightening inevitability, I tried relentously to find a more reliable justification for human existence. Intuitively, I felt that there was still a deeper and indisputable excuse for each human life. And so, thanks to Orthodoxy, I managed to radically change my attitude towards earthly life and death. I realized that the life for which we are so desperate and convulsively cling to, turns only in dust and dust at the legs of the Lord. And given to me over experience really showed that death (in understanding an unbeliever person) is not. And there is only a deliverance from all extra and preventing and acquiring the integrity of a true "I" in an inextricable connection with God. I firmly included the consciousness that the true reality is there, and our earthly so-called reality is only imaginary reality, no more than the illusion taken for reality. And if my "journey" can be called only the first step towards death, then death itself is to get rid of earthly existence in endless painful passions.

Now death for me is no longer frightening inevitability, darling reasoning, causing animal fear to unknown. Death for me now there is liberation, the gift of God. The earthly stay, compared to heaven, turned out to be so immensely painful and oppressive, and unforgettable memories of the "white light" so sweet real, which would change the earthly stagnation on the heavenly insidency for me now only happiness and a dream. But ... even when I was on the way from there, I me, instead of horror before my death, took possession of the all-absorbing horror for my sinfulness. And when my consciousness returned to the body, the fear of sin fully supplanted animal fear of death. And the horror of the fact that I did not redeemed my sins before God, so great that makes it makes more thinking more about the paradise of bliss, but about eternal burning. Now I understand that only the death of the righteous is deliverance, and the death of a sinner is terrible with its despair. I became more and more understood that the Lord is needed only a soul, overshadowing repentance tears.

Yes, pain is a serious test. But, probably, this is the only thing that can deeply shake a person, forcing him to change his eyes on the very earthly existence and revive him to a new life. We do not appreciate this gift - life, forgetting about a brief moment, given by the Lord. I clearly remember that there I have preserved the most pronounced traits of my character who managed me and there. This is an assertiveness and anxiety, inability to wait. Now I can only conclude that it is necessary to educate my character here on Earth. There it will be too late. There we will only be supplied to the accomplusing fact ...

Unusual at first after the operation there was a relation to food. I will not hide, that all my life one of my sins was a gluttony, with which I was successfully fought, I again fell into it. First time after the operation I did not want to eat at all. Not that there was no physical desire, but simply this food process suddenly lost its meaning for me, becoming simply incomprehensible. There my soul was played in! The guise of the Lord, and nothing more was required. And no other replacement for spiritual food she did not expect living with unearthly grace. So I was openly an absolutely amazing fortune, when neither the flesh, nor the soul burdened by coarse physical food (which did not want to be struggled at all). But my soul still returned to the ground, back to the body. From this it was not to leave, it had to take, as will be over. And the body eventually demanded her food. At first I was very grieving because the soul is increasingly coming into the sleepy state, the state of dismisses and immunity. My connection with what was there, from a mighty flow turned gradually in the finest thread. Thread, which still connects me with the world. And this I manage to survive this is now in this hard and indifferent world. Yes, the world of earthly seems so cold and worn compared to heavenly ...

For a long time, on returning from there, I was silent about one more stunning fact of fact. I understood that he could cause most people with most people. But now, after time, gradually returning to the usual worldly existence, I understood: what I hid, can reveal the eyes to many people on our true earthly existence.

For the first time, three days to return to Earth were especially painful for me. The fact that I am going down, I saw and felt from contact with the ground, I plunged my renewed soul into the oppressive state. The Earth presented to me as a huge murdering garbage, littered with the mountains of living human corpses sising on it. Their kidding and created imaginary visibility of life on Earth. The terrible unearthly stench came from these living human corpses, from which my soul suffered and incredibly. From this earthmap, which I previously, living here, did not notice and did not suspect, my soul rushed back into the sky. It seemed to me that my true homeland was there, in heaven, and here I was again for some ridiculous accident, by a strange mistake. I returned from there like a newborn baby. And I had the complete helplessness of this newborn, the vane infant and insecurity from contact with the terrible earthly reality, which opened to me.

Especially injured me close contact with people. Many of them had a hidden strong aggression and anger, and it saw me with all frankness. It seemed that their angry content was about to splash out of them, and they only hardly restrain this inner launch. Their inhuman views, burning from somewhere from the inside, like red coals; Eyes, full of anger and malice, delivered me an incredible mental pain. I was very sorry for these people, and at first I sincerely cried in their sins. But gradually it became more difficult for me to touch them. At some point, I felt that my sorrowful cry had ceased to them, and suddenly the feeling of resentment was increasing.

It was a resentment for these people, for their such a distinguished state, but this is unbearable painfully painted my soul. I came to my senses and began to pray for myself. But, obviously, late ... The land really lies in evil. Staying here, on Earth, we remain only intense, weak people. And together with this offense, something bad thing was included in me, something oppressive and heavy, powerfully enveloping everything inside, causing the condition of the daridity after bright, unearthly joy.

Subsequently, the dark forces were mercilessly attacked me, I felt at me, as I felt for my rebirth. Through close and dear people, these "nonhumans" tried to destroy me and bright in me. With bitterness, I felt my helplessness. And only a continuous connection with God - prayer and faith - saves me.

Somehow in the monastery, where I go to the service, I was still far from an old man. He very sank away from drunkenness, and an unpleasant tart smell came from him, as his clothes were impregnated with what he went to himself. I did not notice how he was next to me, and from the smell, who suddenly hit his nose, was involuntarily turned around. And the first thing that came to my head was: how are we with our sins to dortim without noticing it? And what do you have to endure our guardians from us? .. The second that I thought: probably, the Lord led this unfortunate here, in the temple, during the service is not in vain. This is a good reminder to us, sinful, about our deplorable state.

And the Lord often reminds of our true state by sending us grief and illness. Subsequently confirmed that my disease relates to oncology and simply called cancer. That the surgical intervention in my body was generally contraindicated to him, as it may aggravate the situation, causing the rapid growth of metastasis. It turned out that, hurrying, the surgeon made a medical error. And instead of the alleged wiring, quickly scared over the past year and a half and causing strong headaches, he removed the oncological tumor.

Before the operation, the word "cancer" itself, as well as the suspicion of this disease in himself, horrified on me. But after what happened to me there, the disease of the body, which had previously caused inhuman despair, stopped being terrible for me. Soul's disease - that's what makes money acquired for me and forced it to shudder from thoughts about the consequences of it. Awareness that body disease is only a reflection of the soul disease, changed my attitude to life. At some point I was struck by the secret similarity in the sound of two words - "cancer" and "sin". Sin is a cancer tumor of the soul, I understood. And if it does not avoid sin in time, he can fully master the soul and lead it to death. Then the death of the body will be only due to the death of the soul. I do not know what it would be with me if I didn't clear my soul with repentance before the operation. I even scary to think about the likely outcome. I suspect that, burdened by many sins, my soul could not climb. Rather, she would be doomed to fall into the abyss ...

Some familiar look at me now as a doomed patient, I am going to hide your sympathy. But I myself know that it is from this disease that my true healing began, the healing of my sore soul, affected by a tumor of sinfulness. And I realized that this operation was more on the soul than on the body. As if eliminated the heavy, oppressive damper, separated me from God. Although the doctor made a mistake, but it doesn't even think about it or even more to scold him, as I believe: everything happened with the highest permissions. And very grateful for all the Almighty.

Sometimes I was thinking about why I was awarded such a mercy. For what such merits I was given to try it all? And I did not find an answer to this question, recalling that my whole life was only a crime before God. And I think that only the petition of my deeply believers saved me from the perception of the abyss, at the edge of which I was so close to all the unreasonable life. Yes, only their strong prayer Before the Lord, for the unreasonable perishing child, such wonders with me, desperate to the sinner, could create such wonders. And the prayer for me, I suppose was strong, since all my ancestors and the mother's line, and along the line Pope turned out to be priests. The sufferer case of one of them, the Archpriest Alexy Porfiryev, is described in the recently released dual-volume of the Hieromonach Damascus (Orlovsky) "martyrs, confessors and devotees of the piety of the Russian Orthodox Church of the XX century." I learned all this, even when I came to faith and began to be vividly interested, by whom my relatives were, because I vaguely remembered that in childhood he accidentally heard of adults about the fact that my great-grandfather was a priest. Later, I learned from archival data that he was very respected in Nizhny Novgorod with an archer. The remaining relatives, having in the nature of the famous and for that paid lives of the servants of the Orthodox Church, carefully hid from us, children, the whole, sometimes very terrible, truth, as they lived in incredibly difficult conditions of persecution.
