Disturbed nature threatens the cities with the most terrible consequences, for they have completely torn away from it. And although we do not see the Antichrist himself, his spirit, about which the holy apostle and evangelist John the Theologian writes (1 John 4: 3), already dominates the world. In this world, the Church of Christ must always be a wanderer, passing by its imaginary beauties and temptations. "My kingdom is not of this world"(John 18:36) - teaches the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ Himself. Prosperity and comfort deprive the Church of unearthly fire. Then it does not fulfill its purpose: it ceases to be a militant, which fights against the forces of destruction. If she stops exposing lies and evil, she stops serving Truth. So it loses its transcendental character. This disease has very ancient roots. The outward flowering and imaginary prosperity of the earthly Church have always carried the great danger of losing the spirit of true Christianity.
In our days, when the building of the kingdom of Antichrist enters a decisive phase, it is necessary to exercise special care in the spiritual life and carefully monitor the signs of the times. Acting "With all unrighteous deception"(2 Thess. 2:10) the forerunners and servants of the "son of destruction" do everything in order to "To seduce, if possible, and the elect"(Matthew 24:24). Sadly enough, many have already been deceived, but our Lord Jesus Christ Himself warns us: "Beware lest anyone deceive you"(Matthew 24: 4) and "Stay awake, because you do not know at what hour your Lord will come"(Matthew 24:42).
