Marine seats preparation. "Sea seats" and Russian special forces: who is better prepared? Famous operations involving the division

Who should be in her best physical form to fulfill the task set before him? Who should use all your potential to perform the task? I'm not talking about professional bodybuilders, I'm talking about our elite parts of the US Navy by the US seabes. These brave guys take care of how they will look at the podium in front of the judges, but above all about how they will appreciate the commander of the division. They live with the idea that they should fully disclose their potential and best fulfill each mission. That's why they always accompany success and luck!

But how do they acquire their stunning uniforms for such a short time called basic training? Bodybuilders spend years to form their own physique, but even after that many of them remain unhappy with their results. Catics use other methods, because they deal with force and endurance, and not with the symmetricality of proportions and not with a diplotor cream for breasts. In this article, I will describe the program for the preparation of the US naval forces of the United States.
This program consists of two cycles of nine weeks. If you can withstand it to the end, then you will acquire such stamina, which earlier and imagine could not. But, only possessing truly iron will and the power of the Spirit will be able to survive and pass a full course of basic training of sea seals.

As you can see, this program is aimed at developing strength and endurance. Please note that this is a very intensive program, which means you need to consume a corresponding nutrient amount. Of course, the program is very effective, but it requires all your determination and perseverance. Exercises are simple, - no complex movements, and no simulators. Try yourself, maybe you are good for service in marine cats. In any case, it is guaranteed to get rid of fat and grow muscles.

Army army-sabotage parts (Army Special Forces)

After the publication of my article on the special division "Maritime Seats", I received a huge number of letters with questions, thanks and just with reports that someone is going to try this training program. I never thought that you wanted to knock out the soul from your body will be so much. But, as the philosopher said: "Granda fate kill lazy people." Movement by natural desire to help people in their desire for physical excellence, I found another similar program. My friend, the very one who provided me by the program of the sea seeds, sent me a "program of preparing the usant-sabotage parts of the United States." I asked him how he receives these military training programs, but he ran away from the answer. I only had to shake my shoulders and sit down at a computer ...

This article describes a program specifically designed to prepare recruits at the Rangers School. Many argue that it is even heavier than the program of marine cats. Just like the previous one, this program is designed for general development, an increase in strength and endurance. Those who are looking for purely bodybuilders, hardly this article will be interesting. Here you will find only simple, main exercises, and you will feel the smell of the barracks and the spirit of the field camp ...
Well, what is the perfume? Forward!!!

U-F-F-F-F ... Yes, heavy program. Working on it, it would be useful to record your daily progress: the number of approaches, repetitions, execution time, etc. If you do not have an army backpack, you can replace it with ordinary. The main thing is that it is heavy enough. In addition, as already mentioned in the previous article (about marine cats), you need a sufficient amount of nutrients and water. If you are going to use this program as an addition to the main training, then to preserve the muscle mass, it is desirable to further take glutamine in the days of marchs and swimming days.

Good luck to you! If, of course, you decide ...

The US Navy has a special exercise with the US Navy: a person connects his hands behind his back, tie ankle and throw it into the pool in a depth of 3 meters.

His task is to survive for five minutes.

As it often happens in the training sessions of "Marine Costs", the overwhelming majority of recruits fail. Many immediately fall into panic and begin to scream to be pulled out. Some are trying to sail, but go under water, and they have to catch them and pump off. Over the years of workouts, even deaths were repeatedly visible.

But some people manage to cope with the task, and helps them in this knowledge of two rather contradictory rules.

The first rule is paradoxically: the more you try to keep your head over the water, the greater the likelihood that you drown.

With knitted hands and legs, it is impossible to keep yourself on the surface of the water for five minutes. Moreover, your random junction will only help you drown even faster. The focus is to afford to fall on the bottom of the pool. Then it follows with force to push the legs from the bottom and when you will throw onto the surface, to breathe quickly and start the whole process again.

(At 8 years, not knowing about the existence of the "Marine Cotoves" of the US Navy, I will fall on the sea in the goal, when I was at a depth and missed the inflatable ball for which I had previously held.) Sucked to the bottom and repelled my legs at the top and in The side of the coast. So jumps and darked up to sandings)

Oddly enough, this reception does not require superhuman forces, nor special endurance. You do not even be able to swim, rather, on the contrary, you are required to even try to do it. Do not resist the laws of physics, they should be used to save their lives.

The second lesson is a little more obvious, but also paradoxal: the more you panic, the more oxygen you need, and the higher the probability that you lose consciousness and drown. The exercise draws your survival instinct against you yourself: the more intense your desire to breathe, the smaller you have the opportunity for this. And the more intense your will to life, the greater the chance that you die.

Thus, this exercise is not physical strength, and not for the power of will. It is aimed at the ability to own itself in a critical situation. Can a person suppress his instinctive impulses? Will he be able to relax in the face of potential death? Will he be able to risk his life for the sake of doing any higher task?

The ability to own itself is much more important than the ability to swim. It is more important than physical strength, endurance or ambition. It is more important than the mind, education and how well a person looks like a luxurious Italian costume.

This is the ability - the ability is not to succumb to instincts, when most of all you want this is one of the most important skills that anyone can develop himself. And not only for service in the fleet. Just for life.

Most people believe that the accompanying efforts and remuneration are directly dependent. We believe that if we work twice as much, the result will be twice as much. And if we twice the more attention more attention to your loved ones, then we will love us twice as much as. And if we shout twice with louder, our words will be twice as more convincing.

That is, it is assumed that most of what happens in our lives is described by a linear schedule, and that the "Unit" of the effort has a "unit" of remuneration.

But let me tell you (I hoped that if you drink two times more than usually, Red Bull, then with this article it will be finished twice as fast) - so almost never happens. Most of what is happening in the world, it does not occur on linear laws. Linear dependence is observed only in the most primitive, monotonous and boring things - when driving a car, when filling out documents, when cleaning the bathroom, etc. In all these cases, if you do something within two hours, then you get twice as much as if you were done within an hour. But this is due to the fact that there is no need to think or invent.

Most often, linear dependence is not respected precisely because monotonous mechanical actions make up a smaller part of our lives. The larger part of our activity is complex, and it requires mental and emotional efforts.

Thus, the majority of activities occur on the wasting yield curve.

The law of decreasing return states that from some moment the increase in investments does not bring equivalent impact. Classic example - money. The difference between earnings at 20,000 and $ 40,000 is enormous, it completely changes life. The difference between earnings in 120,000 and $ 1,40000 means only the fact that in your car there will be more pleasant heaters for seats. The difference between earnings in the amount of 127020000 and $ 127090000 is generally within the statistical error.

The concept of reducing the return applies to most of all events that are complex or new. The more often you take a shower, the more eaten the dinner of chicken wings, the longer you hold the ritual of annual travel to the mother - the less significant is every next of these events (and my mom will forgive me).

Another example: labor productivity studies show that we are working truly effectively only in the first four or five hours of our working day. After that, there is a sharp decline in productivity - to such an extent that the difference between work for 12 hours and for 16 hours is practically not visible (if you do not count the deprivation of sleep).

The same rule is valid for friendship. The only friend is always vital. Have two friends are always better than having one. But if the 10th friends add to 9 friends, then it will change little in your life. And 21 of each other instead of 20 brings only problems with memorizing names.

The concept of reduction of recoil works in relation to sex, food, sleep, drinking alcohol, training in the simulator room, reading books, vacations, hiring employees, caffeine consumption, postponement of money, planning business meetings, studies, video games and masturbation - examples are endless. The more you do something, the less remuneration you get for each subsequent action. According to the law, almost everything works.

But there is another curve that you probably never seen and who did not hear before - this is the reverse (inverted) yield curve.

The reverse yield curve demonstrates those cases where effort and remuneration have a negative correlation, that is, the more efforts you attach to anything, the smaller you reach.

And it is this law that acts in the example with the "marine quotes". The more effort you attach to stay on the surface, the greater the likelihood that you fail. In the same way, the stronger your desire to breathe, the more likely it is that you choke.

Perhaps now you thought - well, why should we know all this? We are not going to dive into the pool with knitted legs and hands! What do we care about inverse curves?

Indeed, there are few things in the life that work under the law of an inverse curve. But those few who are are extremely important. I will even decide to argue that all the most important experiences and events in life work under the law of an inverse curve.

Efforts and remuneration are directly dependent in the performance of primitive tasks. Efforts and remuneration work under the law to reduce returns when the action is complex and multidimensional.

But when it comes to our psyche, i.e. About what is happening exclusively in our own consciousness, the relationship between effort and remuneration is reverse.

The pursuit of luck will lead you away from it even further. The search for emotional calm is only more excited. The desire for greater freedom often makes us even more feel your non-vitality. The need to be beloved prevents us from loved themselves.

Oldose Huxley once recorded: "The more often we force ourselves to do something against your own will, the less we achieve success. Knowledge and results come only to those who studied the paradoxical art do not making, combine relaxation with activities. "

Fundamental components of our psyche paradoxical. This is due to the fact that when we deliberately try to cause a certain mood, the brain automatically begins to resist it.

This is the "Law of the Inverse": Waiting for a positive result in itself is a negative factor; Readiness for a negative result is a positive factor.

It applies to most (if not all) aspects of our mental health and relationships:

Control. The more we strive to manage your own feelings and gust, the more we are experiencing about your incontinence. Our emotions are involuntary and often uncontrollable, the desire to take control even more enhances them. And vice versa, the calmer we treat our own feelings and impulses, the more opportunities we have the opportunity to send them to the right direction.

Freedom. Ironically, the constant desire for greater freedom puts more and more barriers. Readiness to take freedom in certain boundaries allows us to independently determine these borders.

Happiness. The desire to be happy makes us less happy. Happy us makes reconciliation with failures.

Safety. The desire to feel safe gives rise to uncertainty. Reconciliation with uncertainty allows us to feel safe.

Love. The more we try to make others love us, the less they will be inclined to this. And, more importantly, the less we will love themselves.

Respect. The more we demand respect for yourself, the less we will respect. The more we ourselves respect others, the more respect it will be to us.

Confidence. The more we persuade people to trust us, the less that they do it. The more we trust the other, the more we get reverse trust.

Confidence. The more we try to feel confidence, the more we worry and worry. Readiness to recognize your drawbacks allows us to feel more comfortable in your own skin.

Self improvement. The more we strive for perfection, the sharper we feel that this is not enough. At the same time, the willingness to take ourselves as it is, allows us to grow and develop, because in this case we are too busy to pay attention to secondary things.

Significance: The more significant and deep we consider our own life, the more superficial it is. The more meaning we give the lives of other people, the more important we will become for them.

All these internal, psychological experiences work under the law inverse curve, because they are all generated in the same point: in our mind. When you wish you happiness, your brain is both the source of this desire, and the object that should feel it.

When it comes to these high, abstract, existential reasoning, our brain becomes like a dog that is chasing his own tail. Dog this chase seems quite logical - in the end, if with the help of chase it gets everything else that is necessary for her dog life, then why should it be different?

However, the dog will never be able to catch his own tail. The faster she catch up, the faster her tail runs away. The dog lacks the latitude of view, she does not see that it and the tail - one.

Our task is to learn your brain chasing your own tail. Refuse chase for meaning, freedom and happiness, because they can be felt only when you stop chanting them. Learn to achieve your goal by refusing to persecute this goal. Show yourself that the only way to achieve the surface is to afford to go down.

How to do it? Refuse. Surrender. Capitulate. Not because of weakness, but due to the understanding that the world is wider than our consciousness. Recognize your fragility and limitation. Your limb in an infinite time stream. This refusal of control attempts is not talking about weakness, but about strength, because you decide to abandon those things outside your power. Please accept the fact that it is not always and not everyone will love you that there are failures in life, and that you do not always find a hint that should be done further.

Discard the fight against your own fears and uncertainty, and when you think that you will soon be drown, you will reach the bottom and can push it away from it, and there will be salvation.

Physical training

The physical training of "maritime cats" is given paramount importance. This unit is not vainly considered an elite. Only 10% of recruits pass all stages of a rigid training process and receive the seal cherished emblem, which is called "Budweezer" on slang (eagle with anchor in claws, a trident and a flint pistol).

The physical training program is divided into several multi-week cycles, built on the principle of load growth. So, if in the first week of a nineteenth ends, the recruits are pressed 3 campaigns only 15 times and run 2 miles, then on the ninth week they run 6 miles and press 6 approaches 30 times. At the eighteenth week (second nine-seater cycle), soldiers are already pressed 20 approaches for 20 times. This regarding the elementary OFP. The program of "Marine Cotes" includes a large amount of special trainings, march-shots in the conditions close to combat, special attention is paid to "water procedures".

Seal's instructor say that one of the tasks that the training process sets itself is the formation of an understanding of the fact that the aquatic environment is not hostile for them. This is exactly the difference between "maritime cats" from other special forces of the United States. Water for "seal" should be a native element. For this, the fighters constantly improve their swimming skills. At the same time, they are taught to swim in extreme conditions, with long breathing delays, with cargo, with knitted hands and legs.

Training "Marine Cotes" is always teamwork. A large number of special exercises (the transfer of boats, the lift of the logs, the test of cold and others) prepare "seals" to the coordinated group work in the conditions of combat.

At the end of the test, the recruits pass the so-called "hellish week" - five-day intense shock training at the limit of physical and psychological forces. Until the end of the "Hell's week", only 50% of those cadets are withstanding, which have reached it.

Often argue about which parts of the special purpose are best prepared. No wonder the fighters of the Delta and SAS (Delta Force) and SAS (United Kingdom) are trained on similar programs.

On Friday, on April 29, 2011, Barack Obama gave an order to hold an important operation in the modern history of the United States: to take the storming house in the Pakistani city of Abbotabad, where Osama Ben Laden hid. To fulfill such a difficult task, fraught with the unpredictable episodes, the American president chose a small group from the tactical division of the Navy "Sea Catics" (Navy Seals), which during the shootout destroyed the Al-Qaida Raster (Terrorist organization prohibited in the Russian Federation - approx.) On the night of May 1.

Two years later, the attention was leaked that only two of the members of the Team 6 group, that is, those fighters from the division "Maritime Sequins", which ended up with terrorist number 1, remained alive after death in a plane crash in Afghanistan 22 of 25 -This members. According to the Corriere Della Sera newspaper, in April last year, another fighter died during an unsuccessful parachute jump. High mortality once again proves that this group consisting of the most rigid selection of fighters is subject to constant risk.

The tactical division "Maritime Catures" was created after one of the largest military failures of the United States. In 1962, after the falling off of Cuban mercenaries in the bay of pigs in Cuba, President Kennedy approved the creation of a selected division of the maritime assault that could raid deep into the enemy territory. Martial baptism they passed in Vietnam, where the nature of the area and the lack of a clearly indicated front line demanded the participation of special forces. Created according to the Special Purpose Group of the Navy Britain, "Forks" received a task, among other things, to monitor and patrol the Mekong River on their high-speed boats.

It was then that the United States began to use them for the most difficult operations that needed almost with surgical accuracy. Among the most famous success should be mentioned by the release of the transatlantic liner "Achille Lauro", as well as Captain Richard Phillips, abducted by Somali pirates, participation in landing at Granada in 1983, and also participation in the Iraq war in 2003, the largest in the history of this division . The information and about some of the failures of the "Marine Cotes" were leaked, in particular, an attempt to seize President Panama Manuel Antonio Nortega during the invasion of this country, as well as the broken operations on the release of hostages at the US Embassy in Tehran in 1980.

Special Forces, SEAL and others

Echo24 05/30/2016

The New York Times 03/23/2017 When selecting candidates for the fulfillment of this kind of tasks, candidates of Men's Navy servicemen are considered not older than 28 years. The learning process lasts six months, and its culmination becomes a training called "Week in hell": For five days, future Commandos is experiencing a constant cold, hunger and do not have the opportunity to sleep. This "week in hell" takes place on the basis of Koronado, in California, where half of the five of the fighters of the "sea seals" are now in ranked now. The rest trained on the basis of Little Creek (Little Creek) in Virginia, with the exception of 300 servicemen who are allegedly included in the Team 6 group housed in Dam Neck (Dam Neck), also in Virginia.

When the selection sifts up to 90% of candidates. During the tests, it is necessary to run 24 kilometers, sailing three kilometers in open-air water bodies and withstand large physical exertion. In general, the preparation lasts a year and a half, then another year already as part of the unit, after which the fighters go to fulfill their first combat task.

The fighters of the Sea Catuals squad usually act as part of the platoon of eight people, although, depending on the nature of the operation, they can work both in charge and in full, where everyone has its own specialization: subversive, electronics, route gasket, medical care etc.

Mysterious and Grozny Russian "Special Forces"

The activities of the Russian special forces, the eternal opponent of the "Marine Costs" during the Cold War, was always shrouded in a dense curtain of the mystery, which turned it into a kind of myth. Although the very concept of "special forces" and denotes all parts of the special purpose of the Soviet and Russian era, among them especially stand out by the level of preparation two: GRU special forces, which is structurally included in the military intelligence service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and special forces of the FSB, which is engaged in countering terrorism.

Despite numerous videos laid out on the Internet and telling about how special forces acts, the details of its preparation are still classified. These parts were created in the 50s of the last century, in the midst of the Cold War. Initially, they were prepared to perform various secret operations, including the introduction, as well as for conducting intelligence and sabotage activities. But after the invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, special forces came out of the shadows and began to actively participate in battles.

According to those few information that we know, the special forces pay great attention to hand-to-hand combat. Basically, they use sambo struggle techniques developed in the Soviet Union. In addition, a significant part of the preparation takes place using combat cartridges and explosives, which causes one of the high mortality rates among special purposes in the world.

Nevertheless, by its structure, they are similar to other parts of the special purpose. Each special forces division consists of 8-10 fighters operating under the command of an officer. They are trained with explosive substances, aiming shooting, maintaining radio engineering and exploration on the ground.

Among the failures of the special forces and, above all, the special forces of the FSB, in carrying out anti-terrorism operations should be mentioned by the assault of secondary school in Beslan on September 3, 2004, two days before this captured by militants-Islamists. It all ended with an erratic assault, which began the anti-terrorist division "Alpha". Subsequently, military personnel of the Armed Forces and Internal Troops joined him. The result is 370 dead.

As well as SAS and Delta Force

Russian special forces and detachment "Sea seals" are sufficiently known in the world, and especially in the media, but there are other selected parts passing similar training. In particular, the Special Air Service (SAS) and Sea Special Forces (SBS) of the Royal Armed Forces of the United Kingdom were created during World War II and became a kind of prototype of special purpose divisions that appeared subsequently. Among other tests, candidates must go through the Wales mountain ranges, carrying 25 kilograms of cargo, and live a month in rainforest.

New Zealand special forces from the inside: how to raise an elite soldier (nzherald)

Nzherald.co.nz 07.10.2018 In the same United States there are other well-trained parts of a special purpose, for example, the 75th regiment of the Rangers, Green Berets (fighting rebels, partisans, training of foreign servicemen), and, of course, 1 - Operational detachment of special purpose "Delta" (Delta Force). He was created in 1977, Colonel Charles Beckwith (Charles Beckwith), before that, for a long time, engaged in training SAS British fighters. In the detachment Delta, men are accepted in the rank of sergeant over 21 years old, who served at least two and a half years in the army and successfully passed the tests, no different from those who pass to SAS candidates and the "Sea Catics" detachment.

In contrast to the aforementioned forces of special purpose units, Delta detachment, as a rule, act secretively, performing more delicate tasks. In military bases, they wear civilian clothes, and their area of activity includes the United States.

Today, according to military observers, "sea seals" are the most prepared and equipped division in the world, along with the elite divisions of the US Delta, Forecon, Marsoc. According to some indicators, they are not inferior to the Delta detachment of the US Army. Delta is mainly engaged in counter-terrorism activities, while "cats" (with the exception of NSWDG) are engaged in reconnaissance, sabotage operations or hostage salvation. In addition to the reconnaissance and sabotage and assault operations, SEAL is designed to solve a number of other specific tasks: the cover of the main forces, the guidance of artillery fire, demining and mining, the provision of communications in areas where fighting, the fight against sea terrorism and illegal crossing of the country's maritime borders.

Everything without exception "Catures" are members of the US Navy or Coast Guard.

History

Sources

There are also known cases where the fighters from the second seal squad alone worked in the special divisions of the army of South Vietnam. In addition, in 1967, a seal detachment called "Detachment Bravo (Det Bravo)" was created, consisting of both the "maritime cats" and from the members of South Vietnamese Provincial Reconnaissance Units (PRUS).

The last divisions of Seal left Vietnam in December 1971, the latest instructors in March 1973. The total number of "maritime cats" involved in Vietnam did not exceed 200 soldiers and 30 officers.

The invasion of the Grenada

"Sea seals" from detachments 4 and 6 also took part in the US invasion of the Grenada, known as the Outbreak of Riolence. The main objectives were the salvation of the British Governor Governor Skun and the seizure of the only radio in the country. As a result of insufficient briefing or untimely information support from the CIA, the mission was under the threat of a breakdown from the very beginning. So one of two transport and landing aircraft was unable to determine the emission zone, and four soldiers drowned during a disembarkation in a squalled shower. Their bodies were never found.

After successful landing, divided into two groups, "Catics" began to perform the main tasks. The group aimed at the residence of the Governor general was without satellite communications, since the necessary equipment was forgotten in a helicopter. When the battery ended the single radio station, the "seals" had to use the usual telephone line to call support from the air. As a result, a small detachment spent about a day under the fire of superior enemy forces, including the BTR-60, until the intergument of marines was evacuated.

Another group who captured the radio station also experienced communication problems. After they could not organize a command post by beating several attacks of the National Army of Grenada, "Tyuleni" blew up Mast and managed to hide in the water. Later, after the cessation of their search, "sea seals", including the wounded, got into the open sea, where they were saved.

Persian Bay (Operation "Main Chance")

Along with the English colleagues from Special Boat Service, "Catika" participated in the battle for Kala-I-Yangi, where the seal officer Seal's chef is a naval cross for outstanding heroism in battle.

On August 6, 2011, "Chinook" was shot down in Afghanistan, transporting 15 members of the Group 6, destroyed on May 2, 2011, Usama Bin Laden. All in the helicopter died; Among the victims there were no participants in the operation of the murder of Bin Laden. This is the greatest loss of personnel for "SEAL Team 6" (except for them, two "cat" from another unit died in a crash)

Iraq war (2003-2010)

Even seven days before the landing of the main troops, the "Marine Costs" group was engaged in hydrographic shooting in the area of El Basra oil platforms and Havre El Amya. On May 20, 2003, both platforms, as well as Port El Fao and the pipelines were directly attacked by the grouping of forces consisting of the "seal", the British royal marines and fighters from the Polish special forces "Thunder". Despite the difficulties associated with inaccurate intelligence, all objects were captured and the operation was successfully completed.

The command of coalition troops in Iraq also expressed concern about the fact that the retreating Iraqi troops could blow up the Mukatain dam to Northern Baghdad in order to slow down the advancement of American forces. The dam of the dam would also leave the whole region without electricity, and inevitable flooding rushes a threat to lives of civilians. Thus, it was decided to direct the joint forces of the divisions of the Marine Costs and the Thunder detachment. Without having met the resistance from the Iraqi military, Tyuleni quickly completed the seizure of the dam and transferred it under the control of the US ground troops.

Division structure

SEAL detachment during the operation in forest areas

The main operational formation as part of SEAL is a reconnaissance-sabotage detachment (SEAL Team), consisting of a headquarters and 3 squadrons of 40 people in each. Each squadron also has its own headquarters, consisting of the Captain of the 3rd rank as commander, Captain Lieutenant or senior lieutenant, as well as two elders (Warrant officers) with the eighth and well / sixth rank of payment. Two platforms in 16-20 people each and a group of maintenance in the size of the company are elected to the headquarters. Directly Voice is the captain-lieutenant, his deputy serves a senior lieutenant. In cases of need, each squadron can be easily divided into 4 platforms or 8 detachments of 4-5 fighters. Thus, the personnel of a typical "detachment" of SEAL, including attendants, reaches about 300 people. Commands a detachment of SEAL officer in the rank of captain of the 2nd rank.

For quick and inconspicuous underwater delivery and evacuation of divers-scouts, there are detachments of special transportation products (SPTS), using underwater means of movement (PSD) type MARK 8 MOD 1. At the moment, the 2nd detachment is disbanded and transmitted to the 1st Detz with headquarters on VBM "Pearl-Harbor", Hawaii.
Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC) are also designed to provide delivery and disembarking SEAL detachments on the coast and their evacuation after the task is completed. In addition, their task is to ship reinforcements and equipment, the organization of fire cover, the inspection of suspicious ships, rescue operations, intelligence and patrols of the sectors of the sea coast and rivers.
Formally, the SPTS and SWCC detachments are not part of the SEAL structure, although we learn the necessary support for the detachments of the "Marine Costs"

In total, there are ten detachments in the structure of the SSO (Seal Team 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10) and 3050 personnel, including 600 SWCC members. In the operational reserve there are 325 "Sea Cotes" (Seal Team 17, 18), 125 soldiers of SWCC and 775 people from the number of service personnel.

SEAL fighters come out of water

Each US Navy detachment has its own specialization. Some are focused on the use of desert. Others are designed to disembark and action in the jungle. Third are designed for actions for the polar circle. There are both former "Russians", that is, those who have expected to actions in the USSR.

The 6th Seal detachment, recreated as the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DevGRU) for the conduct of anti-terrorism operations, was removed from the CSO structure of the Navy and, together with the Delta group, is constantly subordinated to the combined command of special operations. Fighters from the 6th detachment participated in hostage on the island of Grenada and the release of hostages of the Akille Lauro passenger liner in the Mediterranean.

SEAL divisions are divided between Naval Special Warfare Group One (Koronado, California), which includes 1.3,5,7 and Naval Special Warfare Group TWO (Little Creek VBM, Virginia), which includes detachments 2,4,8,10. Both structures are under the general command of Naval Special Warfare Command.

Selection and preparation

The selection of candidates for Tyuleni is made from the volunteers not under 18 and not older than 28 years old, only men are allowed to service - US citizens. Of course, the candidate must have excellent health, both physical and mental, since by the nature of the service sometimes "seal" falls for a long time to be in a closed space or under the thickness of water, where even the ray of daylight does not penetrate. It is very often necessary to perform one or another task alone, without the support of the comrades, while at the same time in the Belt in the marsh juicy.

From the very beginning of volunteers who quite satisfy all formal requirements and do not detect any explicit physical or mental abnormalities, subjected to a whole series of tests, on the basis of which the expert commission from experienced psychologists and doctors conducts initial selection. Successfully passed initial requirements, in the educational and sea centers of special troops.

First of all, cadets are preparing to those loads that expect them during the year. This is a seminoment course of physical training and training with special seating. At this stage, cadets get acquainted with new techniques of physical development, train the respiratory system, stamina. And even if the candidate is a world champion in swimming, it will be anew it. Learn to swim for hours and with a strong storm. For any water temperature, even if it turns into ice in front of the eyes. With cargo. And even being connected by hand and legs. The purpose of this stage is to teach the battle swimmer to the water so that she does not cause him not that the slightest inconvenience, and so that he felt in her like a fish.

"We train these people so that they perceive the water as the only safe environment," the instructors say in the preparation process. In all other births of troops, even in marine infantry, training personnel is trained, based on the fact that the water element is dangerous for a person. But what is our advantage? When we were discovered, pursue or shells, we go into the water, in our own home, where the opponent usually loses us.
Next, nine weeks of the first period of directly combat training and training "live" are followed. Moreover, every week of the load, and without that very heavy, becomes even stronger, acquiring a specific orientation. For example, in the first week, cadets should be saved three hundred meters for a certain time, in the second week the same three hundred meters must be saved in complete uniforms and equipment, with all equipment and weapons. Next, the task is complicated even more. The same distance with all equipment must be overcome, towing cargo weighing 40-50 kg, and then perform all the same, only this time against the flow. Next, the distance increases, and the time for which it must be overcome remains the same. The same can be said about land trials. True, here the task is complicated by the fact that the instructors deliberately give out several illogical orders, which should be performed without thinking, without any breakdowns and hysterics, while not going to confrontation with the bosses. Thus, the psychological suitability of the future combat swimmer is checked.

Training of melee fighting

There are also special tests to help determine the intendedness of the cadet, his ability to think in non-standard situations. For example, it is necessary to penetrate the object without special equipment, which is located behind a high hill, crumpled forest. Of course, the hill can be circumvented, as most cadets come. But not so simple. On all sides, the hill is surrounded by a swamp ... So the soldiers stand in thought: whether to climb the hill, or crawling over the swamp. In addition to all sorts of natural obstacles that need to be overcome, there is still a huge number of traps made by experienced instructors. At the most inappropriate moment, when the cadet almost got to the top of the hill and keeps behind the leaf of the rock, right in his nose there is an explosion of a training garnet or a smoke checker explodes, or that worse, bullets begged above the head. But in addition to physical exertion, the cadets are mastering the skills of sniper shooting and subversive business, radio communications and orientation on the ground. In short, all that is not done in water (although it does not mean at all that this is done only on land).

Special attention deserves the preparation stage, which is called "Tyuleni" call "hellish weeks". It lasts only five days, but this is enough to fully experience the whole "joy" service in SEAL. During this time, the cadets have the right to sleep only 4 hours, and then, or standing, either on the throat in a fettered swamp. At the same time, the load increases every day and reaches such a limit that three instructors work with one group (each of which has a medical certificate), which constantly replace each other. By the end of the week, the load is purchased, right for example, a sadistic character. And here in such an atmosphere, future "seals" should not only fight with water elements, but also to defeat it and, much more difficult, yourself, their own fear and their pain.

"Storm test"

Here is one of the examples - "Storm test." According to the instructor's instructor, the group is built on the very shore of the ocean (and the most rainy day and the strongest storm is selected) and stands for 20 minutes, leaving the icy waves of the Pacific Ocean. Then, on the team, the whole group goes ashore and spends five minutes on the falling autumn wind, and then again - to the ocean. And so several times.
And then follows a whole series of exhausting marchs in full equipment, overcoming the bar of obstacles, etc. For example, the standing standard for the sandy beach at a distance of 4 miles - 32 minutes. For the "lazy" exercise - punishment: push-ups individual or group ("chain") when the cadets are built into the column one by one, put their legs on the shoulder of the comrade, located in the "stop lying" position. Up down! One pulls over the whole chain. As a punishment - again in the ocean. And so indefinitely a few days. At the same time, annoying instructors spend a psychological attack on the young, Hells of the tired, frozen cadets. They are trying to "seduce" their hot shower, long sleep in a soft bed, a good dinner with a cup of coffee. But all this is only in order to make the psyche of cadets even more, check their endurance. Many retreat and return to their parts. Sourney after the "hellish week" - 50% of the total number of submitted applications and selected for training. And the final screening is 90% of the initial number. All who at least the smallest did not reach the highest indicators go away.

The last stage of preparation is air, lasting three weeks. This time, cadets are waiting for parachutes, jumping, air traffic management, guidance and adjustment of aviation actions. Yes, and piloting in a fairly decent amount. And for all this time, no one for a minute reduces the loads either on the body or on the Spirit. True, sleep after the "hellish week" is given for a couple of hours longer, but, of course, for the full restoration of the forces is not enough. And only after that, those who endured a truly hellish marathon, admit to the elite community. They are awarded in a solemn atmosphere. Seal emblem (eagle holding anchor, a trident and a flint pistol), called the "Budweezer" jargon, and distributed in groups. But this is not yet full of "seals". They are not yet allowed to serious operations and use, as a rule, on the
cover the rear, to ensure the waste of the main forces, "noise", distracting the attention of the enemy. So it takes two and a half or three years before the end of the first contract. Only after the signing of the second contract, the Novobine can consider himself a full-fledged SEAL fighter.

Equipment

Given the wide range of tasks solved by SEAL fighters, the division has not only the full resource of the US Army, but also to the right to use the World Market as a source of obtaining all the necessary equipment.

For syllable movement under water, SEAL detachments applies the insulating breathing apparatus Dragaer LAR V, developed by the German company Drägerwerk AG and allowing the diver to float without lack of bubbles in the form of air bubbles. Ultra-medium submarines Mark 8 MOD 1 SDV, launched from Special Modules of Los Angeles-type submarines. In addition to using MK 8, MK 8, can also be reset to the area of operation from airplanes Lockhide C-130 Hercules. The ASDS project (Advanced Seal Delivery System), considered as a replacement of the MC 8 PSD, was not released for the stage of the prototype and was closed. Thus, the PSD of the type MK 8 remains in the system indefinitely.

Soldiers from SBT 22 on the SOC-R boats

For disembarkation, the US Navy, MC 5 Pegasus, RIB-36 and Special Operations Craft-Riverine (SOC-R), which are located as part of SPECIAL BOAT TEAM, can use the US Navy. SOC-R boats can also be transported by CH-47 and CH-53 helicopters.

If it is supposed to throw the air troops, then the SSO Navy is usually resorted to the help of 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, providing vehicles and pilots.

If there is a passing method, penetration into the area of operation is carried out by footing either on the high-pass paths of DESERT Patrol Vehicle (DPV), also known as Fast Attack Vehicle (FAV), first used by the 3rd SEAL detachment during the Persian Gulf War.

Dislocation

The main base of the SEAL deployment for the Atlantic Fleet is the naval base of Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Naval Special Warfare Development Group (Naval Special Warfare Development Group), conducting tests of weapons, equipment and military equipment, both those in service with the SSO Navy and the promising proposed suppliers and developing new tactical methods and techniques for the use of special weapons and technical means Also located on Little Creek VBM.
VBM in the city of Koronado, that the California coast serves as a base for the Pacific Fleet. The Naval Special Warfare Center and the Naval Special Warfare Command (Naval Special Warfare Command) are located here.

The 6th Seal detachment is deployed at the US Navy Aviation Base in the ladies of Nek, Virginia.

Museum and Memorial UDT-SEAL

National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida, founded in 1985 by NPO "UDT-SEAL Museum Association", is the only museum of this kind and is located on the place where the first combat swimmers have once prepared for the US Navy. In 2008, the decision of the Congress Museum received the status of the national. To date, there is a large number of unique historical exhibits, including weapons, equipment and equipment of UDT and SEAL units.
